Infra Construction Element and Project Classification System and the Infra Quantity Measurement Guidelines

The Excel file contains classification codes and titles, as well as a comparison with the previous 2023 Construction Element Classification.
The updated classification includes revisions to the classifications for tramway structures and lighting structures.
The structure of the InfraRYL and MaaRYL online services currently follows, for the most part, the 2015 Construction Element Classification. In June 2026, an update will be released that will align the structure of both services with the Infra 2025 Construction Element Classification.
Draft comparison tables between the current and new service structures are available below. Minor changes may still be made before publication.

The update of the Quantity Measurement Guidelines will begin during 2026. The first section to be revised will be 1000 Earthworks, Ground Engineering and Rock Structures.
The publication format will be changed to match the electronic RYL services. Content will no longer be published as a printed book or PDF document. This will enable regular updates in line with the update cycles of the InfraRYL and MaaRYL services.
