Classification fees

 The applicant agrees to pay Rakennustieto Oy the valid classification fee and any other fees related to the granting of the M1 Emission Classification. The validity of the right to use the classification label is three (3) years from the date of granting the classification.

The validity of the continuation and renewal periods of the classification will continue from where the previous classification period ends. The M1 Classification does not include annual fees or audits.

The basic classification fee (1490 €) is the same regardless of the type of application (new, continuation or renewal application). All classification fees include one (1) classification certificate in one (1) standard language. The formation of a product group and the selection of product(s) for testing before applying for the actual classification is free of charge.

Classification fees to be paid to Rakennustieto Oy for the M1 Emission Classification as of 1.1.2026:

1. 1490 € – Basic classification fee
2. 320 € – Amendment fee (applies to changes to an existing classification. In addition to the amendment fee, a fee based on the application type is charged: limit value examination or product group addition)
3. In addition to the basic classification fee / amendment fee, if the application includes multiple products (classification is applied for a product group, or products/parallel product names are added to an existing group), a product group fee is charged based on the number of products:
4. 450 € – Product group (2–3 products)
5. 1230 € – Product group (4–19 products)
6. 1590 € – Product group (20–99 products)
7. 2235 € – Product group (100–299 products)
8. Over 300 products – Ask for a quote!

• 180 € / Voluntary limit value examination (e.g. for EU Taxonomy purposes)

Other fees

• 108 € – Classification certificate in an additional language
• 108 € – Certificate fee per additional certificate

 Rakennustieto Oy is registered for VAT purposes. Value added tax is added to invoices if applicable. In case of invoicing VAT registered customer located in other EU member state, the invoice is VAT 0% and reverse charge applies. Incase the customer is located outside the EU and is considered as taxable person, the invoicing is VAT 0%. Rakennustieto Oy reserves the right to change the fees.
