Tie your contracts to RYL – avoid unnecessary risks and ensure a high-quality outcome. RYL (General Quality Requirements for Construction) is the industry's jointly agreed description of good construction and property maintenance practices. With the RYL service, you always have access to the latest content and version history.

RYL defines good construction practices, property maintenance practices, and demolition practices within the construction and real estate sectors.
The General Conditions for Building Contracts (YSE 1998) incorporate general quality requirements and work specifications into YSE-based contracts. RYL serves as a general specification and therefore defines not only the technical quality of the completed work but also the contractor’s workload and costs.
The most significant changes in our industry are being driven by climate change, the green transition, fluctuations in energy prices, and evolving legislation. Together with industry-developed contract templates (sopimusasiakirjat.rakennustieto.fi), the General Quality Requirements for Construction provide construction and real estate professionals with tools to modernize practices, address the challenges of this transition period, and improve productivity.
