We have created various calculators that help you estimate how much money you can save, based on the number of your products, by participating in the Product Information Service.
0.00 €/ year in costs when documents must be delivered manually to construction sites
0.00 €/ year in costs when you must fill in each retailer’s Excel templates
0.00 €/ year in costs when product information must be supplied separately
0.00 €/ year in costs when carbon footprint data does not need to be supplied separately to contractors, designers, and consultants
With the Product Information database, product data is available to all construction industry professionals, eliminating the need to provide product information separately to different stakeholders. In addition, major construction companies use the product information stored in the Product Information database in their own services and systems.
Join the databaseThis calculation estimates the product supplier’s time savings in euros when documents no longer need to be delivered separately and manually to projects.
The assumption is that, on average, each project generates one request:
"Please send me all documents for all your products that have been delivered to our project."
The supplier’s employee must then determine which project is involved, identify which products were supplied to that project, and gather the relevant documentation. On average, this investigation and information delivery process takes 1 hour per request. The hourly labor cost is assumed to be €50/hour.
Projects typically request documents such as installation, operation, and maintenance instructions, safety data sheets, Declarations of Performance (DoP), type approval certificates, verification certificates, and other certifications.
This calculation estimates the product supplier’s time savings in euros when product information does not need to be submitted separately through product onboarding Excel spreadsheets for retailers.
It is assumed that if a supplier has 20 products in its portfolio, maintaining this information for retailers requires 2 working days per year. If the supplier has 5,000 products, maintaining the information requires 8 working days per year. Intermediate values are interpolated based on the number of products. The hourly labor cost is assumed to be €50/hour.
This calculation estimates the product supplier’s time savings in euros when individual product information requests need to be answered less frequently.
The calculation assumes that the supplier receives one inquiry per product annually. Responding to each inquiry takes approximately 15 minutes. The hourly labor cost is assumed to be €50/hour.
These inquiries may concern product dimensions, weights, logistics information, naming information, images, documentation, or various technical specifications.
This calculation estimates the product supplier’s time savings in euros when carbon footprint data and other environmental information no longer need to be provided separately to parties requesting them.
Investigating and supplying the information takes an average of 1 hour per inquiry. It is assumed that each calculation project in which your products are used requests some form of information at least once. The hourly labor cost is assumed to be €50/hour.
It is further assumed that contractors, designers, and consultants request product carbon footprint information directly from the supplier. These inquiries are most often directed to sales personnel, who must then gather the required information within their organization.
